On the occasion of Design Week in Milan, from 9-23 of April, there is a photographic exhibition dedicated to aluminium packaging and everyday objects fabricated from recycled aluminium. At home, on the road, at work, or at the cinema, aluminium cans and containers are the ideal solution to preserve, protect and consume a meal and a drink, and they’re also chic, cool and which no woman can do without it, as expressed by Malena Mazza in her personal interpretation of aluminium packaging through 20 photographs commissioned by CiAl. Beautiful, bright and luminous, just like the photographs of this extraordinary artist who already had experience with aluminium packaging . Today, in these images, Mazza reinterprets and becomes protagonist in the vision and contexts, though unusual and unfamiliar, are decisively evocative of the practicality and functionality which characterises aluminium. Aluminium is also a design material, fashionable as it is in its more simple applications, though even more essential is its use for packaging. Thanks to its characteristics, aluminium is the ideal material to preserve and protect our food and our drinks for longer than any other material. But most of all, aluminium is 100% recyclable and ad infinitum. And this has been the purpose and mission of CiAl for over 15 years, to promote the separate collection of this valuable materia in all Italian municipalities. The exhibition will be open to the public daily (9-23 April 2015) from 10.00 to 19.00, in Hall B of the National Museum of Science and Technology (via Olona, 6).
